Scott Patrick Semrau, AttorneyMr. Semrau is currently President of the Cobb Bar Association Criminal Law Section. He is the immediate past Vice President for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College. He received his law degree cum laude from Tulane Law School and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Georgia State University.

Scott Patrick Semrau is a published author and speaker on the topics of criminal defense, probation revocation, child molestation defense, legal research, law practice management, and criminal evidentiary foundations. He is an Officer of the Cobb County Bar Association and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Semrau is admitted to practice law in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and lives in Cobb County with his wife and three children.

Michael A. Burns, Jr., Attorney

Michael A. Burns, Jr., AttorneyMichael A. Burns, Jr. joined The Semrau Law Firm in 2013 as an Associate Attorney. He represents clients charged with traffic violations, driving under the influence, and other misdemeanors and felonies.

Born and raised in Cobb County, Mike graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta. He earned his Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia in 2002, and subsequently worked as a newspaper reporter, covering politics and government for The Cherokee Tribune in Canton and The Marietta Daily Journal. Mike returned to Athens to attend The University Of Georgia School Of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2009. He began his legal career with handling court appointed criminal defense cases in Cherokee County. and he later joined The Cherokee County Solicitor General's Office where he developed his trial skills while becoming familiar with the courts of the northern metro Atlanta area.

Tomeca L. Kellogg, Senior Legal Assistant

Tomeca L. Kellogg, Senior Legal AssistantTomeca Kellogg was also born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. She is a graduate of Marietta High School and completed her undergraduate training in paralegal studies at Clayton College and State University. She has worked in administrative roles in the Marietta legal community since January 2001.
